My name is Barry Weidner and I am the founder of CrossFit Generation. I am a certified strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a CrossFit Certified Trainer. I am also a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach. With over 9 years in the fitness industry and clients from 14-60 years of age, I have seen all the fads, trends, gimmicks, and ineffective fitness programs that have come around and believe me, whatever you read in magazines, on the internet, and from what you've heard from those big globo-gym trainers at Bally’s, Golds, and LA Fitness is all worthless. I discovered CrossFit in February 2006 and have been committed to everything that CrossFit is founded on ever since. My training and experience with CrossFit has taken my physical and mental training to new heights. Individuals that I have trained with CrossFit’s methods have discovered a fitness level they never knew possible. Don’t waste any more time meandering around huge globo-gyms from machine to machine and not seeing any results. CrossFit is, without a doubt, the most effective and efficient fitness program in the world and becoming a part of it will be one of the best decisions you will make for your body.
If you want to get in the best shape of your life, then train with CrossFit Generation and take your physical fitness levels to a place they have never been. Don’t waste your time any more with fitness programs and routines that are not giving you the results you want. Train and move the way your body was designed to, with constantly varied, high intensity functional movements. You are how you train!!

My name is Jocelyn Weidner and I am co-owner of CrossFit Generation. I have been in the fitness industry for 5 years with a BA in Health and Exercise Science from Gettysburg College. Before my professional career began, I was a competitive swimmer for 10 years and played 4 years of collegiate field hockey at Gettysburg. I have always been interested in fitness and knew I’d make a career of it because of the passion I have for working with people to increase their quality of life through exercise.
Barry introduced me to CrossFit in 2006. Before CrossFit, a typical training session for me consisted of weight training and the elliptical. I spent many hours on that elliptical day after day after day. Of course after a while I hit a plateau and knew something had to change. I was bored, not seeing the results I wanted and just plain sick and tired of the monotony of my workouts. I began doing CrossFit and realized this type of training was just what I was looking for. It was intense and always changing giving my competitive, athletic side the challenge it needed each and every workout. At first, I used CrossFit on my off days while I trained for a marathon and it was a perfect compliment to my running workouts. After running 2 marathons, I turned to CrossFit full time.
Currently I work for a corporate fitness company as the Director of Training and Education. I’ve trained many clients with the CrossFit methodologies because in the corporate fitness world a lot of clients only have 30 minutes to workout during their busy workday. The only effective way I’ve found to train those types of people who are on time restrictions and want the best bang for their buck, is with CrossFit. It appeals to any personality and gets results.
My goal is to help everyone realize their potential and realize that getting into great shape and hitting personal goals can be both the hardest challenge of their life AND fun. That’s the magic of it all. Come in to CrossFit Generation and see what it’s all about.
